I wonder who’s more exhausted today: me after a whole weekend of birthday celebrations (yay/yikes, I’m 30!) – or the actor who played Tarzan in the musical that I went to see yesterday.
Probably me, because Tarzan is in a lot better shape than I am. Which justifies me posting this a day late, maybe!
I’m super happy as well, though – about the musical as well as all the birthday fun.
I bake and eat soooo much delicious cake at the moment (partly because it’s my birthday weekend but mainly just because CAKE). I should change my glasses to ones that look like these:

… Roasted squash is feeling hot and fancy!
The prompt for Day 2 of Inktober is “tranquil” and my brianstorm quickly centered around coffee. Partly inspired by all the cool coffee art in my feeds yesterday (apparently a kind of coffee celebration day?).
When I REALLY tried to think past coffee (which is difficult at any moment of my day), I thought of yoga. So here we go:

I love this time of year! Being outdoors a bit in the fresh air, picking up a couple of chestnuts (the pretty but non-edible kind which there are lots of around here).
And even better than going for a walk – sitting indoors with cake and tea and coffee and cake. And more cake. And doodles! I’m going to participate in Inktober this year for the first time and I’m excited to see if I’ll manage to draw something every day.
Summer has been incredibly hot in Denmark this year, and I drew this doodle on a warm day in late July while still on vacation. I didn’t get around to post it then – probably because I was too lazy in the heat and my hands were too sweaty for typing.
Anyway, if it’s not obvious, the inspiration for this doodle is the peach emoji. The peach meaning “butt” is very old news, but my doodle ended up as a relatively proper bathing suit version.
I haven’t seen this bathing suit design IRL anywhere, but it would be great if it exists.
This week I read about the 40.000 year old baby horse that was recently found in Siberia (in this Danish article). I couldn’t stop staring at the photo of the little horse, and I obviously had to draw it. Here’s the result:
The horse’s snout (is that the proper word? Muzzle?) is a bit long in my drawing which I think makes it look less horse-like than in the photo. But I don’t mind, because I think my doodle of the old horse is almost cute. And it continues to amaze me how ancient creatures can be preserved in ice for tens of thousands of years.
I didn’t do any post-editing on this drawing like I normally do, so it’s just pen on paper. A very different style than the last couple of doodles that I’ve posted which have a lot of digital work in them.
I might post more simple doodles, because they take less time to do and I quite like the look.
