This happy dragon wants everyone to have a good Monday:
Dragons are on my mind, because I’m currently re-re-re-listening to the audiobook version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (no spoilers). Ok, tiny spoiler: There are dragons in it.
This dragon is friendly and vegetarian, though, looks kinda like a dinosaur mixed with a dog and breathes fire after eating chilies.
You’re welcome to download the image and use it as a wallpaper for some happy dragon energy this week.

I’ve just set it as my own wallpaper and it’s already giving me some good vibes and confidence to set off another week of job hunting.
My drawing style is usually defined by a black line, but today I wanted to try something different. I quite like the look of this image without the black lines. It gives a very different look, almost like paper cutouts. I drew everything in Adobe Illustrator (with my Wacom tablet) this time, not based on a sketch on paper, like I sometimes do.
I drew Snape and Umbridge while listening to the 5th Harry Potter book:
But Umbridge is THE WORST so I’ll make her small.
And I didn’t do any digital editing on her, ’cause boo Umbridge.
I’m already on book 6, but am almost to concentrated and excited/scared to doodle while listening, because I know what’s coming and I’m not in a hurry for the horror 😨
We also watched the first two Harry Potter movies this week so that’s confusing and fun. And after listening to the books, I catch myself saying “that’s not like the book, noooo!” literally every 5 minutes. But still enjoying the movie very much!
Some new Harry Potter doodles that I drew last week:
Fawkes the phoenix plays an important role in the second Harry Potter book that I just finished, so I wanted to draw the cute reborn version of him ❤
I love the scene where Harry is in Dumbledore’s office for the first time and happens to see Fawkes burst into flames. And Dumbledore just casually says: “I’m sorry you had to see him on a burning day” or something like that 😂
And I did not feel like drawing a basilisk doodle!
Yes, the Potter doodles are continuing – I don’t feel like drawing anything else at the moment. These books make so many images pop up in my head!
