Inktober 2018 #23

I’m pausing the food theme today because I had to draw a mountainbike for the prompt “muddy”:

I’m always trying to improve my bike drawing skills and I think I’m improving a little tiny bit everytime. My boyfriend loves mountainbikes and mountainbiking and the muddy season that we’re heading into, and I’m fortunate to have him as a ruthless consultant (see my post Bike practice for examples of his useful comments).

This time I managed to draw the layout of the frame before helplessly googling “bike”:

Which is great progress for me!

I kind of forgot the seat post, and I made the tires too fat for the wheels to turn 😕

But whatever, small steps forward (like with my actual mountainbike practice).

Autumn time

I love this time of year! Being outdoors a bit in the fresh air, picking up a couple of chestnuts (the pretty but non-edible kind which there are lots of around here).

And even better than going for a walk – sitting indoors with cake and tea and coffee and cake. And more cake. And doodles! I’m going to participate in Inktober this year for the first time and I’m excited to see if I’ll manage to draw something every day.
