How did #inktober go for me?

Well, in one way it went really well! I had a lot of fun drawing from the two prompt lists I followed.

Read about the inktober challenge I gave myself in my posts from October 1 and October 9.

My favourites

I thought I’d manage to do weekly roundups (like I mentioned in the last post), but as you can see… I didn’t.

So what I’m going to do instead is share my 3 own favourite pages from my Inktober 2019 sketchbook. Here we go:

I definitely googled “moth” before drawing it, and it was hard not to look at moth memes for 2 hours and forget to draw. They’re old in internet time, but I just love those memes so much.
This one might be my actual favourite from this Inktober. The combo of words is very random, and I’m happy that I thought of this cute concept 😀 And as a bonus I learned how to spell marshmallow correctly!
One of the pages I made as I tried to catch up and felt a tiny bit of doodle stress, but had a lot of fun when I finally sat down and started drawing.

You can check out the rest of my drawings on my Instagram page. And you’re welcome to give me a follow and leave me a comment over there and tell me which one is your favourite!

Some more thoughts about this year’s Inktober

I didn’t manage to draw every day this year, possibly because of the fact that I have a job, and last year I’d just quit my last job when Inktober started. (But still, applying for jobs is one of the hardest jobs I’ve had!! So it was no vacation – but I still had more time for drawing then).

Something unexpected that happened this year, though, was that I’ve been drawing a lot of other drawings not related to Inktober. So I guess the challenge sparked something!

I also really loved looking at all the other creative Inktober posts from artist all over the world, it was just as fun as making my own drawings (almost…) every day.
